So The Games Begin [Sebastian Ending]

You took a deep breath and looked up, knowing that you had to get this over with. You figured that if your feelings were so strong for Ciel you wouldn’t have fallen for Sebastian in the first place, and that gave you your answer.



“Sebastian” You said firmly but solemnly.



A blue eye and a pair of red eyes widened.



It was Ciel who responded first.



“You have got to be kidding me” Ciel spoke in his usual monotone, but his face wore a furious expression. “____, If this is some kind of joke-“



Ciel was cut off by you quickly. “I’m sorry Ciel. It is no joke. I love Sebastian dearly, I do hope you can understand with time.” You said sadly.



It hurt you seeing Ciel like this. You loved him. But you loved Sebastian more. It was always him. You were just blinded by your affections by the young Phantomhive. Sebastian had been trying to get you to see all this time but you never noticed until now. It almost made you feel a little stupid. Maybe things would have been different if you had known earlier. Things wouldn’t have ended up so tangled and maybe people involved wouldn’t have gotten as hurt as they did.



Ciel looked just stared at you. Devastation clear as day written all over his face as he came to the realisation that you did not choose him, but chose his butler instead. He looked back and forth between you and Sebastian stopping to glare at Sebastian. He opened his mouth but no words came out and he dropped his head, staring at the ground.



It was completely silent until he looked up again with a blank, cold expression on his face. You had expected this much.



His heart just got crushed, poor Ciel had lost so much in his life and now he had lost you too. Maybe he is destined to lose everything? To lose everyone and every last possession? He did not know the answer to that question but what he did know was that he had to get out of here, before you saw just how much damage you had caused.



“Well, I guess I’ll be in my study then. Don’t bother me, I would like to be alone” Ciel spoke coldly, face void of emotion while it had possessed so much just moments ago.



Ciel began to walk back to the manor, but you stopped him with a gentle hand on his shoulder.



You don’t know why you stopped him. There were so many things you wanted to say to the young earl but you just couldn’t find the words. All you could do what stare at him with glossy eyes.



Ciel had his back to you, but glanced back at you over his shoulder. He gently took your hand and held it for a few moments before dropping it like it burnt him, and continuing on his way back to his study. You were sure it did burn him, just not physically.



You stared after him, and with a sigh you turned towards Sebastian. You and the demonic butler stared at each other for a few moments, until he shot you a gentle smile and within a few long strides he was right in front of you. He pulled you into his arms and hid his face in your hair, stroking it gently.



“My dear ____, you’re finally mine” He whispered in your ear.



You wrapped your arms around his lean torso and brought him closer to you, breathing in his scent. He smelt sweet, which you thought was odd for a demon, but you loved that scent nonetheless.



The two of you gently pulled away and stared into each other’s eyes. Sebastian couldn’t keep the grin off of his face. It was the real charming smile that you had grown to love so much over the time that you had spent with the handsome butler. It wasn’t that fake one that he wore when running errands for his master, it was the real smile that you brought out of him. The only time he had let a real smile slip was when he was devouring souls, but now he had a different reason to smile, and that was you. Sebastian couldn’t believe that you were in his arms after long last.



“Darling, you have no idea how long I have waited for you. I was nearly distraught when you begun falling for the young master, but I am relieved to see that you have chosen me. You are where you belong, and I will make sure nothing ever harms you.” Sebastian spoke sincerely.



You smiled and pulled Sebastian back to you, snuggling your face in his coat.



“I’m sorry I caused you so much trouble Sebastian” You said softly, your voice a little muffled by his coat. But he was a demon, of course he heard you just fine.



Sebastian chuckled and stroked your hair. “Don’t apologize to me my dear, you are more than worth fighting for”.



You blushed heavily at this and thanked the heavens that your face was hidden. But somehow he knew, he always does, and he chuckled at the fact that he could make you blush so easily. You were human after all.



And that reminded him. He was a demon. You were a human. He was immortal. You were not. He glanced down at you and his eyes softened. He couldn’t spoil the moment with thoughts like this, he mentally noted that the two of you would cross that bridge when you get to it, and that he will only speak of it to you if you bring it up, which he was sure you would in time.



“Oh dear, I almost forgot” Sebastian said, while gently moving slightly away from you, but still keeping an arm around you.



You watched curiously as he reached into the inside of his coat. A grin spread across your face as he pulled out a black rose and held it out to you with a small smile.



You laughed in delight and plucked it from his hand, holding it closely to your chest. You looked down at the rose and smiled, before looking back up at Sebastian who was grinning at your reaction. It was like the little thing the two of you had and you loved it. He loved giving you these roses and he loved the reaction he got out of you. Your eyes would light up like the stars, and to him, your love was all that mattered. He may have a contract with Ciel Phantomhive, which means he belongs to him, but Ciel did not have all of him. Ciel didn’t have his non-beating heart. No, that belonged to you.



It was then that you knew you made the right choice. Though Sebastian may seem perfect, you knew he wasn’t and he was also a demon which would definitely create some obstacles for the two of you. But you knew, that if your love was strong enough the two of you could overcome all.




You knew that he would fight for you until the end of time. For as long as he shall live. And that’s an eternity.
